Milan police have arrested Clyde Mitchell, of Milan, after a traffic stop and have charged him with possession of
marijuana with intent to distribute, driving under the influence of drugs, failure to maintain lane, possession
of drug related objects, having prescription drugs not in original container and driving while declared an habitual violator.
According to reports, at approximately 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 11, Milan police stopped a 2006
Chevrolet Silverado for having a tag that was not assigned to the vehicle and failure to maintain lane.
Mitchell was currently out of jail on bond for previous charges that occurred in December 2010 and was also on probation.
Confiscated in the traffic stop was $651.16 in cash, suspected marijuana, miscellaneous prescription pills, weighing scales, bags and containers.
Mitchell was denied bond due to the fact that he was already out on bond for other felony charges and on probation.
The investigation is ongoing by the Milan Police Department and other law enforcement agencies to determine the original source of the suspected drugs. More arrests are expected in connection with this case.
