Milan police make several arrests

Milan police arrested Christopher Adam Lewis of Chauncey for driving with suspended license, driving while declared a habitual violator (felony), and no tag.

Police arrested Sandra E. Mitchell of Rhine for illegal window tint, suspended motor vehicle (MV) registration, driving while license suspended, driving under the influence (DUI), improper u-turn, and open container of alcohol.

Milan police responded to a burglary at Pine Acres Drive on Christmas Eve. Complaintant reported several Christmas gifts for her children were stolen. Several juveniles were arrested and the property was recovered before Christmas.

Police arrested Jenre Alverico of Milan for disorderly conduct and public drunkeness stemming from an incident that occurred on Elizabeth Ellis Lane. During booking, federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) placed a deportation hold on him. DEA was also involved in the case.

Police arrested Clyde Mitchell of Milan for driving while license suspended, third and felony offense, and also declared him a habitual violator due to prior convictions.
Police arrested Richard Lewgene Deese of Milan for DUI, driving unlicensed, failure to maintain lane, and illegal u-turn, also a habitual violator.

Police arrested Wade Williams of Lumber City for a third DUI, driving while license suspended, open container of alcohol, and improper tag. He was also declared a habitual violator due to recent convictions.

Rodney Gattie of Albany was arrested for reckless driving, and speeding in excessive of 70 miles per hour (mph) in a 35 mph zone.
Police responded to East County Line Road about suspicious persons at night at the end of the road standing in the road. Patrols have been increased in that area.

I am so happy to see them finally taking action to clean up our old hometown of Milan. It's such a wonderful town and because of some of the scum that has moved into it, it had aquired a bad rap. Maybe they will support the police officers and let them do their job. I know the good people of the community will appreciate it.

Police Chief huh? We only have one working so I guess he would be the chief. I just wish we had more working and that they would slow the traffic down on 280. Big trucks fly down that road. Just an accident waiting to happen.

After having a turnover of police officers in the town of Milan, it is good to see one that has the guts to stay even though the mayor attempts to keep his hands tied with tight control. Levi....you are doing a GOOD JOB even if the drug dealers, thieves and drunks dont appreciate you. The rest of us do! Keep up the good work...You do the police work & let the mayor do his "thing".
