Deputies make drug arrests

Dodge County Sheriff’s deputies have made several arrests for drug charges over the last couple of weeks as the result of traffic enforcement.

On Wednesday, November 24, deputies arrested Terrance Carr (age 30) of Chauncey, as the result of a traffic stop on the WPA Road.

Carr was charged with possession of marijuana, obstruction of an officer, driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol/drugs, driving an uninsured vehicle and possession of an open container of alcohol in vehicle.

On Thursday, November 25, Phillip Nutt (age 20) of Tifton, was arrested as the result of a traffic stop on Georgia Highway 46. Nutt has been charged with possession of marijuana and operating a vehicle without a seat belt.

On Wednesday, December 1, Teresa Kim Young (age 44) of Cochran, was arrested on Georgia Highway 87 as the result of a traffic stop. Young has been charged with illegal possession of prescription drugs and driving under the influence (DUI) of drugs.

On Monday, December 6, Tevin Lee Riley (age 17) of Eastman, was arrested a second time for possession of marijuana on school property by sheriff’s deputies assigned as school resource officers.

Deputies arrested Willie Eldon Bennett (age 49) of Eastman, on Sunday, December 5. Bennett is charged with aggravated assault and terroristic threats and acts as the result of allegedly assaulting a woman at a residence on the Chester Highway. Sheriff’s investigators arrested Jason Cole Adams (age 28) of Eastman, on Monday, December 6. Investigators have charged Adams with aggravated child molestation.
