When you go to work, be the first to arrive and the last one to leave. Work harder than anyone else. With these thoughts maybe we will change our attitude towards all children.
Children for the most part have parents and those in authority letting them down.
Most of our children do not have home court advantage because there is an absence of one of the parents. We need to stop being sorry and do what is right.
Things cannot get better when we have children raising children. If that isn’t adding insult to insult, it’s one thing for so many of our young girls to be getting pregnant, but they are given an apartment with a little handout and it has turned out to be nothing but a shack up place for a young man who will not work.
We spend too much time looking the other way when it comes to discipline and holding our children accountable for their actions. We are just going along to get along. We talk about the teachers, but no one addresses the fact in all too many cases that teachers are faced with a discipline problem.
Teachers cannot replace what should have taken place in the home. Why do we think that we are going to change what we keep tolerating? I wish the board members would review the policies on behavior of Dodge County children.
Make no mistake about it, Dodge County has great children, but the same few over and over are the real problem within the school system. I wish when a parent received a discipline notice, there are others but don’t concern yourself with them but your own child.
Discipline within the Dodge County system needs the support from the top to the bottom and in between. It is really something when you can work for an organization and the people you work for can walk past you and will not give you a simple hello.
The churches are the one place where there should be some real difference in our children. All too often they seem to be more concerned in the almighty dollar. They are saying and delivering the right word in the house of worship, but what is happening on the way outside is nothing much.
What we need to do is the right thing for our children and we are lying to ourselves. Everyone will not get an education. I pray that those who will, will have a mindset of change.
America is and has been a great nation, but the God who has blessed this nation for over 200 years is waiting for this nation to bless God. Americans should be tired of playing church by now. We need to become like the Hebrew boys in the fiery furnace. Forget about who is right, but what is right.
When it comes to children, change your tune. When you tell a child something one time and you know they understand, don’t tell them a second time for that is one time too many.
We have to teach children how to stand up and be accountable for their actions.
No one can ride their backs when they are standing up straight.
Thank you and Lord bless,
