Farmers are not the only ones getting ready to harvest crops in Dodge County.
Dodge County Sheriff’s investigators have confiscated numerous marijuana plants over the last two (2) months.
Sheriff’s investigators confiscated twenty (20) small marijuana plants back in July. Dodge County Sheriff Jeff Hinson said that the marijuana was being grown in some planted pine trees off of Jim Ross Road.
The plants were only two (2) to three (3) feet tall at the time of confiscation.
Sheriff’s investigators were unable to positively identify the grower of the marijuana plants in that case.
On Wednesday, September 1, investigators seized seventeen (17) full, mature marijuana plants.

The sheriff dept. needs to invest in a helicopter this way they can spot larger fields. To confiscate a larger amount would realy be worth making the news headlines. My friends in California are laughing and asking is this all they can find with all the vacant land in Dodge County. They are also saying legalize it and make some revenue off it.But of course I donot agree with them legalizing it unless it is use for medicinal purpose but recreational use-oh no.

This is such a huge waste of time, energy and precious police time. God's most precious gift and we make it illegal! Very sad...
